About Porcelain Veneers
Cosmetic enhancement with porcelain veneers can restore an attractive smile by covering certain visible flaws, such as cracks, stains, chips, small gaps, and more concerns. Thin, custom-designed shells that go over the front enamel of the patient’s teeth, dental veneers create a natural, good-looking smile. Porcelain veneers are strong, however still thin enough to be semi-transparent, which helps the porcelain veneers to blend in with the natural teeth. Having dental veneers created by our dentists at DentalWorks - Chicago Loop in Chicago, IL is a efficient, easy way to conceal many physical flaws and make a restored, healthy smile.

"No one likes going to the dentist, but DentalWorks makes you feel comfortable. Dr. Patel fixed my teeth, but Emily at the front desk put my mind at ease. She had to file multiple insurance claims, fit several appointments into my schedule, and kept me informed throughout the entire process. By far the most professional and courteous person I have ever seen in dentistry or healthcare. Thank you Emily for taking the worry and confusion out of the whole process. You are the best."- P.H. / Google / Jan 18, 2020

What to Expect
To start the procedure of creating the personalized dental veneers our dentists will make space for the dental veneer by removing a thin layer of enamel from every tooth that is going to be attached to the dental veneer. Once the teeth have been prepared, our dentists will take a digital image of the teeth, which will be used to craft the custom dental veneers in a dental laboratory. A temporary veneer can be used to protect the teeth until the final dental veneers are returned to DentalWorks - Chicago Loop in Chicago, IL. The custom dental veneers will be bonded to the front of the teeth using a dental bonding agent. Our dentists will alter the dental veneers if needed to give the patient a snug fit.
A follow-up appointment is usually made for about 5 - 7 days after the dental veneers are placed to ensure the attachment is secure and the fit is still comfortable. Dental veneers are more resistant to staining than the natural teeth, but to keep the dental veneers in their pristine condition, our dentists advise avoiding staining foods and drinks, like soda, tea, coffee, and red wine. Patients should start or continue to follow a good home dental care routine, including daily brushing using a non-abrasive toothpaste, regular flossing, and visiting our dentists for dental cleanings and oral exams at DentalWorks - Chicago Loop. With good care, dental veneers may last up to 20 years.
Dental veneers are categorized a cosmetic service, so it is usually not covered by dental insurance. However, DentalWorks - Chicago Loop in Chicago, IL takes many payment options, not to mention our dentists and the staff at DentalWorks - Chicago Loop can help patients with financing plans to make dental veneers more affordable.
