About Removable Dentures
Adults may loose their teeth because of oral disease, but custom dentures can restore the smile to a natural appearance. Dentures can be tailored for the entire mouth, or just some of the mouth, referred to as partial dentures. This dental apparatus, whether full or partial allow individuals to regain a natural appearance and full function of the teeth. Removable dentures allow patients to use their teeth and mouths with full function, including eating, drinking, and speaking. Because this type of denture is not anchored, these dentures can be placed for the the lower or the upper, or both, and can be removed when needed. Our dentists at DentalWorks - Chicago Loop in Chicago, IL use high quality dental labs to produce all of our custom dentures, using only the highest materials so they appear natural.

"Dr. Iqbal and the team literally saved my smile a few years ago, at a time when the dentist was the last place I wanted to be going. The whole staff was incredibly patient with me in explaining every little detailand worked with me on a plan to have all of the necessary work done. I no longer dread going to the dentist and the staff continues to be helpful and kind every time I visit. I have recommended dental works to many friends and family members and will continue to do so for anyone looking to have as pleasant a dental experience as one can hope for!"- K.K. / Google / Sep 11, 2017
"I struggled to find the right dentist for a year before I found DentalWorks in the loop. I was hesitant to trust just any office to handle my root canal and tooth extraction. Dr. Shah is amazing. She's kind and patient when explaining treatment options. The staff is lovely too. I was terrified of dentists. Terrified. Now, I feel I have an office that encourages me to take care of my dental hygiene - something I had neglected for years because I couldn't find someone I trusted. Great job guys!"- S.B. / Yelp / Sep 10, 2017

What to Expect
Denture treatment begins with our dental practitioner at DentalWorks - Chicago Loop prepping the patient's mouth to be ready, which possibly could include a full exam and cleaning, as well as extractions or fillings. After the mouth is prepped, digital X-rays and molded impressions will be taken and sent to our dental lab so that the custom dentures can be created. While the real dentures are being made, our dentists will provide the patient temporary dentures to use. As soon as the new dentures are ready our dentists will fit and adjust them as needed for a long-term fit.
Removal dentures require special care instructions to keep them in proper condition. Our dentists at DentalWorks - Chicago Loop will provide these instructions when the patient gets their dentures. If kept, removable dentures can last for 10 years or longer. Our dentists advise patients to get annual check-ups to ensure that the fit of the dentures are good.
Generally, dental insurance covers some of the cost for dentures. The total fee covered depends on the patient's benefits policy, but our accounting department at DentalWorks - Chicago Loop will contact the patient's insurance company to gain an understanding their costs. We invite patients to contact DentalWorks - Chicago Loop in Chicago, IL to learn more about our payment options in the event insurance is not accepted.
